Online Sharing
.
For the last 5 years, I have worked on a privacy fee basis, charging a small extra fee for clients requiring privacy for their images. This has meant some people didn’t book with me, which is absolutely fine, and others paid this fee. This allowed me to keep my prices low, much lower than similar photographers (in area, style and experience level).
Online trends change, and now more and more people prefer to keep their images private, which is totally understandable. At the same time, photographers need to be able to share their work, to book new clients. I would never hire a photog without being able to view an extensive catalogue!
Many photographers do pretend ‘model calls’ to book paid work with online permissions under the guise of it being an amazing deal. Misleading at best, downright dodgy at worst. I don’t work this way – when I do a model call, it’s genuine and you’re helping me, so you get all the images for free! This is how it’s supposed to be.
.
So what’s happening?
In 2024, I am changing my packages to a pricing structure which automatically includes privacy. I am no longer as affordable, but with 9 years experience working for myself (with prior experience working for other photographers before that) it feels like time.
Now, if you are ok with some online sharing, you will receive a $100 discount off your package. Use code ONLINE when you book in the shop, or mention it in our email booking process. A win win for both of us!

Here’s an image from my last model call where I asked this gorg fam to meet me at the beach at sunrise, and they received every image at no cost. See the whole shebang here.

What does online sharing entail?
It potentially means:
- Social media, like Instagram and Facebook content in static images, and reels.
- A blog post here on my website.
- Advertising. I have never done any sort of formal advertising, but never say never (I cannot imagine having the budget for this but I guess you never know!).
- Supporting my business! Thank you..
..
..
It does not mean:
- Sharing your personal information likes names, jobs, or suburbs. Where you see info I have shared about a family, it often is adjacent to the truth, not their actual info. Google likes details like suburbs and names, so I include some in my blog posts for SEO (search engine optimisation) but it’s not always factual.
- Huge reach. Please, have a look at my social media accounts. You will soon see I am a tiny little one woman show here; hardly anyone actually sees my posts, haha!
- Sharing an image you would prefer kept private, for example breastfeeding. There’s no issue with keeping a few private but sharing the rest.

Thanks for your support and understanding. If you have any other questions about this, please get in touch.
