Sometimes, sh*t happens, right?! It really just does and that’s ok. But sometimes it happens over and over again in one situation and I just think ‘whyyyyyyy’. This is what happened with Camille and I trying to make this session happen. Rewind 7 months. (yes, SEVEN *sob*).

Camille contacts me in November 2017 and books a home session for early December. She then discovers a big error in my paperwork that had existed unseen for months! Ugh, embarrassing, but not the end of the world.

Then suddenly, the you-know-what hits the fan in my life and I am moving house on December 8th and I have to tell Camille that I can do her session, but I can’t provide the imagery until after we move because I won’t have an office to work in. Camille is THE most understanding and loveliest person about this turn of events. Waves away my profuse apologies and refuses my offer of a refund and says that’ll be fine. SO NICE.

On the weekend of our session, one of the girls comes down sick and is covered in a rash. Session cancelled! We decide to touch base in the new year and do the session then.

Mid January rolls around but I am still in a pit of something and not working at all. I don’t end up starting work again until late March, a full 4 months later. I apologise profusely, bump up the number of images included as a thank you for their patience, and we finally book a session for late April.

Just as we’re thinking we may actually make this session happen, one of the girls is sick again. By this point I’m in autumn busy season so it’s another month before I can fit the session in again! Agh! We’re rebooked for mid May.

This is sooo embarrassing but I realise the week of this 3rd booking that I have double booked myself. For some reason, I had written Camille in for the afternoon, not the morning, and had a newborn bath that couldn’t be moved. I swear it’s the only time I’ve ever made this mistake! By this point, I’ve decided this session is doomed, haha! Camille is so kind and insistent it’s all fine and again refuses my offers of a refund and we rebook for late May.

We confirm with each other the day before and I say, “Yes! This doomed session is actually happening!” and Camille is undeterringly positive which, honestly given what has gone down, is A M A Z I N G.

And, guess what. We. Actually. Did. The. Session.
Yes!!! 7 months and 4 appointments later, it happened and it was worth the wait! Absolutely divine girls on a grey, wet morning. We played inside and out, we snuggled special toys, and we captured the littlest love with Mummy and Daddy for her first photo session. Thank you, Henderson fam for being the most patient in the comedy of errors that was our journey to this beautiful session!

Look forward to capturing your story soon xxx
